Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No personal details are needed to see what carriers charge. The six questions you answer—gender, birth date, health level, tobacco use, desired coverage amount, and term length—are sufficient for the quote tool to request rates from carriers. If you decide to apply, that's when name, address, and medical details are collected.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The quotes you see reflect the rates carriers provided for the health class you indicated. Underwriting by the carrier might confirm that class, improve it, or adjust it downward. The final amount you pay depends on their decision after review. Bear in mind that quotes are estimates; the actual policy and its terms determine what you pay.
What happens when I click Apply?
Select a carrier from your quote results, and you'll enter a secure application hosted on the carriers' own platform. Your answers from this site prefill the form. You can pause and return later; you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed agency (License 0B75129), handles your application.
Will I need a medical exam?
It depends on several factors: the carrier's underwriting approach, the benefit amount you chose, and your health profile. Some carriers offer immediate-decision programs that skip exams for qualifying applicants; others may require one. Each quote on this site indicates whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that particular product.
Is a longer term better?
Pick a term based on what you're protecting. Life insurance covers the interval when someone would suffer financially if you weren't there: a mortgage balance, dependent children, or a business loan. Longer terms lock in a rate for more years but cost more per month. The comparison tool makes it easy to see 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options side by side.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool does not store names or contact information, and we collect no visitor data for sale or sharing. Our measurement system uses no cookies. See the privacy page to read the complete list of what is recorded and who has access.
